SUPERNATURAL

As PCs discover more about the supernatural, that information will be contained here. Below are brief descriptions of what PCs may discover in FBI files about the paranormal. (Also, see the History section of the Agency page for further details.)At game's beginning, much of the information gathered by SAD agents has been lost. This is simply to allow characters a chance to discover it for themselves. If you have a question about how much the SAD knows about a particular being or entity, contact the GM.

Types of Supernatural

ALIENS: The SAD has been strongly discouraged from investigating the Area51 mystery and other reports of alien activity, despite one former agent's insistent attempts to do so. This agent was transferred out of the department a few years ago.

CHANGELINGS/FAE: Completely off the SAD radar. Of all beings, this is the one least likely to exist.

GHOSTS/WRAITHS: Of all paranormal activity, SAD has the most proof that ghosts do exist. Photographs and recordings all point to the existence of such beings but this information is kept tightly under lock and key by the division.

MAGES/WITCHES: In the past, SAD has noted that there appears to be a concentration of some magical activity in Louisiana. It is believed that after Hurricane Katrina, the so-called "mages" in the region all died or disappeared.

PARANORMAL ABILITIES: Certain individuals do appear to exhibit some level of paranormal ability, whether it be precognition, telekinesis, or telepathy. SAD has made efforts to find and recruit these people where possible--if other agencies don't reach them first.

WEREWOLVES: SAD agents have recorded numerous incidents that imply that there are creatures who have the ability to change shape. Much of this information was lost in the 1990s because of what was believed to have been an act of sabotage.

VAMPIRES: The SAD does not have knowledge that vampires exist. Although past agents may have surmised that something of that nature was present, too many vampiric crimes are local in jurisdiction and do not fall under SAD's purview. For now...

NOTE: While this game uses WoD as its system, not all supernatural creatures will have the same dynamics as in the WoD setting. In many cases, agents may encounter creatures traditional in rpg settings; in others, the GM may incorporate mythology not normally used. This will be added to this page after encounters.
